Teens in grades 7-12 can register now for FPL’s new monthly subscription service – Teen Swag Bags! Your monthly subscription bag will contain 2 themed library books, stickers, crafts or activities, snacks, and other fun swag.

How does it work?
At the beginning of each month, teens in grades 7-12 will pick up their themed Swag Bag. Each Swag Bag will contain 2 themed library books (checked out to your account for a 28 day loan period), snacks, stickers, a craft or activity, and other fun swag. At the beginning of the next month, you will return the tote bag and last months books, and pick up the next swag bag. The snacks, craft/activity, stickers, and extra swag are yours to keep!
How will I know when my swag bag is ready to pick up?
You will be contacted via the email provided when registering each month when your bag is ready for pickup. Bags must be picked up within 14 days from when they are first available in order to stay in the program.
What if I am unable to pickup my bag within 14 days?
Life happens! If you are unable to retrieve your bag within the 14 day pickup window, please reach out to Caroline at cchatterton@ncls.org for an extension. Due to the popularity of this service, spots are limited. If your bag is not retrieved within 14 days of availability, and you do not reach out for an extension, you will be removed from the subscription service to make room for someone on our waitlist.
Do I need to register every month to receive the next bag?
No! This is a subscription based service, meaning you only need to register once and you’ll be all set for the remainder of the school year. This year’s Swag Bags will run from September 2025-May 2026.
Can I request what books go in my Swag Bag?
The books in each bag are carefully selected by library staff to reflect the monthly theme. We keep each subscribers grade level in mind when choosing age appropriate books. This subscription is also designed to help teens branch out and try new genres that they might not choose otherwise. For this reason, we do not accommodate book requests.
Do I have to have a library card to register for this service?
Yes. Because the tote bag and the two library books will be checked-out to your card, you will need a Fulton Public Library card to register for Teen Swag Bags. If you have a library card at one of the surrounding libraries in the NCLS system (Oswego, Hannibal, Phoenix, etc.) you can still register, but please keep in mind, these bags need to be picked up at the Fulton Public Library. We cannot ship the bag to your home library. Please only register if you are able to pick up your bag each month.
