The Fulton Public Library’s 2nd Annual Book Fest was one for the books (pun intended). We had a book sale, library merchandise sale, bake sale, kids corner, live music, local authors, and more!

Book Fest was certainly not lacking talent this year. We were very fortunate to have 7 skilled local authors attend! Whether you are a fan of heartfelt poetry, adventurous children’s literature, or witty memoirs, Book Fest had a little bit of everything.

Josh Handville

Josh Handville is a Syracuse based poet. His poetry is often themed around the difficulties of love, mental illness, and the human condition. He also creates unique digital collage art.

Len Senecal

Len Senecal is the author of Mr. Tout’s Magical Forest, a six-part Middle Grade fantasy series about a young girl named Mariah and her dog Willow, who follow a unicorn into the forest. From there, all sorts of crazy adventures ensue.

Nicole Marie Mastropool

Nicole Marie Mastropool is a multi-genre author. Over the years, she has published three poetry books, two children’s books, and a dark romance anthology series.

Dan Witmer

Dan Witmer is an author and retired school teacher of 33 years. His book …and piles to go before I sleep – The Book of Wit is filled with stories from his years as a teacher. “This book is basically my teaching memoir”, said Witmer.

Bekkah Frisch

Bekkah Frisch is an author and owner of local media business iHeart Oswego. Her debut novel The Great Quiet follows two Polynesian families as they struggle with terminal illness and devastating secrets.

Joyce Cook

Joyce Cook is the author of Elmina Spencer: Oswego’s Civil War Battlefield Nurse, a biography of Oswego native, Elmina Spencer, a woman devoted to the care and well being of Union soldiers. Joyce was also the Director of our very own Fulton Public Library for many years.

Jonathan Ashline

Jonathan Ashline is an indie fiction author and poet from Oswego, NY. His latest release, Frigid Whispers, is a gritty historical fiction set in the old west. Frigid Whispers was co-written by author Jeremy Sawyer.

River’s End Bookstore

Although not an author, we would like to recognize River’s End Bookstore. They are an independent, family-owned community bookstore located in Oswego, NY. They have been a staple in the Oswego community since 1998, and a huge advocate for local authors.
